August is the targeted completion date for Park Point

If all goes according to plan, Qualex-Landmark’s number this summer will be six.
That’s six high-rise condo towers in the Beltline, adding to the developer’s reputation of building the most high-rise buildings, housing more than 1,000 homes, in the inner-city neighbourhood.

August is the targeted month for the completion of Park Point, a 34-storey high rise with 289 units at the corner of 12 Ave. and 2 St. S.W. The tower puts an exclamation point on the area, says Tony Wai of the design firm, IBI Group.

“We created Park Point to be top heavy, the biggest floor plate is at the top floor, and looks like a big exclamation point when seen from afar with its black and white façade,” says Wai.
Park Point is 80 percent sold and when residents move in this summer, some Qualex-Landmark staff members will be among them.

“At Qualex-Landmark, we believe in delivering innovative and distinctive condo towers. We strive to create living spaces and neighbourhoods that all residents can be proud to call home,” says Parham Mahboubi, vice-president of planning and marketing. “Nothing proves this more than by having our own team residing within our projects.”

While Park Point is loaded with amenities, one of its main attractions is its location, within walking distance of a variety of green space, shopping, restaurants, work space and entertainment. Mahboubi points out it is a matter of minutes to Central Memorial Park, downtown, the Mission District, 17 Avenue S.W., Stampede Park and some of Calgary’s hippest and most popular venues.

“City walkability and access to major city events is the key to a modern lifestyle,” he says. “It was an important factor in choosing this location to build the Park Point tower. Our residents want convenience and access to the things they love without the hassle of driving or taking transit.

“In addition, residents will have access to the community rooftop garden and Calgary’s Central Memorial Park, the city’s most historical park and the heart of the wider Beltline community.”
