We are excited to announce that following the Coquitlam Public Hearing on July 25th, the council unanimously granted 2nd and 3rd readings to the zoning bylaws for our Tyndall Street and Kemsley Avenue residential communities. We would like to thank the Oakdale Residents Association and the Coquitlam community for their continued support.
On this page, you will find information on both projects and any community events we have planned for the neighbourhood throughout the next several months.
Oakdale Site Projects Map
- 7 single-family lots to be consolidated
- Concurrent rezoning, development permit, and subdivision applications under review.
- Proposal is for:
- One 44-storey residential tower & one 6-storey residential strata building
- total of 446 homes planned, including:
- 24 homes offered at below-market rental
- 422 strata homes for purchase
- Range of one- to three-bedroom homes
- Gateway public art piece at the corner of Como Lake Avenue & North Road
- Density of 5.7 FSR

- Proposal is for:
- three, 6-storey buildings and one, 4-storey stacked townhouse building over a shared parkade
- total of 239 homes proposed
- range of one- to three-bedroom homes
- creation of a new road (Gardena Drive) through the western portion of the site – connecting Wesley Avenue to Harrison Avenue
- proposed neighbourhood cafe on the southwest corner of Gardena Drive & Kemsley Avenue
- density of 2.3 FSR
